pardon my french (pastries)

Yesterday I spent the day visiting more Pittsburgh bakeries on a “croissant tour” of the city.

It was a lot of fun and crazy delicious, but along the journey I picked up a half-dozen of these French macarons from a place called Paris 66.

They’re not only beautiful, but really uniquely flavored. From left to right they’re: vanilla basil (tasted like a vegetable), almond, salted caramel, praline, rose and raspberry.
